As you have probably been doing as well, all I have been wearing lately is layers and layers as I try to keep warm. I always get questions about layering and I think the key is having a couple basic pieces or styles that you can always turn to so you start your outfit off right. So here are my 4 keys that help me layer with every outfit

One of my go-tos no matter what time of year is button-downs and they are also the perfect layering piece. Throw them under a sweater or a vest or a jacket and you have an easy layer. Plus they lend a little bit of structure to your layered look which is always nice.

As you know, another one of my go-tos is a turtleneck. Whether it is a big heavy knit that is cozy on its own or a thinner one, I love turtlenecks. They are perfect under a sweater or even under a dress. Especially if you have a thin one, they are great to layer with almost anything.

My last go-tos when it comes to layering are a blanket scarf and a blazer. It is so easy to throw these on over basically any outfit. This blanket scarf is amazing because it is very long so I can easily wrap it around my outer layer even if that is a big coat. A blazer is also a great layering piece because you can use it to dress up an outfit. Until next time…stay warm in your layers!
