As much as I love layering, there are some pitfalls that I like to avoid. The first one is that I don’t want to look like the Michelin man and not be able to move my arms. The other one is that I still want to feel cute and feminine, while also staying warm. With a wool mini-skirt and a thick but girly sweater are the perfect way to avoid these issues.

I love this skirt because it is the perfect winter piece. It is warm because it is wool, has pockets, and is fitted enough that I can wear a looser sweater up top if  I want. Plus, the pattern makes it more interesting than just a plain skirt and I can easily wear heels or boots with it.

Now this sweater is another one of my favorite pieces. Right off the bat, it is perfect for this time of year because it is a heavy material and is the perfect cozy piece. However, what I really love about this sweater is the pearl details. They make it so you don’t have to worry about a necklace or really jewelry at all. They are such an interesting detail and give my outfit that feminine aspect I am always searching for.

A little burgundy from my tee was the final touch for this outfit to give it a nice pop of color. When I wore this the other day, it was freezing, but I stayed nice and cozy with my sweater. A cozy sweater that is cute but still comfortable is a must for any winter wardrobe.
