One of the hard things about being an adult is not spending money, even if you want to. If you follow any other bloggers, you know that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is going on right now. I love this sale because a lot of pieces are basics that you are going to buy anyways so with it, you can buy those pieces on sale. However, I also have some issues.

First of all, if you are in the blogging world at all, you are probably being inundated with try-ons and things to buy etc. etc. which is fine, but can also be extremely annoying.

Secondly, I think it is important that just because there is a sale going on, doesn’t mean you have to buy stuff. I like to think of sales as an opportunity to buy things you were already going to buy, but at a discounted rate. You don’t want to go broke just because there is a sale and you go crazy.

In terms of adulting, this sale especially can be a challenge. It is amazing, but at the same time, I just went on vacation and moved. So, I am definitely feeling the financial pressure and am trying to save money.

So, this year, I’m not going to be buying anything at the sale. But, if I was, here are some of the pieces that I already have and love or would be adding to my collection.
