Big Jewels and Cheetah Print

One of my favorite things about being in the working world is being forced to experiment with clothes. Wearing the same dress or skirt over and over again can get so boring and repetitive. So, I always try and mix up my outfits in one way or another.

Skirts are a little easier because you can mix up your top, shoes, and accessories. Changing a statement necklace or other aspect of your outfit can not only change the vibe of an outfit, but can always make it almost unrecognizable. As long as you aren’t wearing the same skirt in the same week, this is an easy way to mix up your work outfits.

Dresses can be a little more difficult, especially if they are patterned and recognizable with this one. The key is changing up your accessories. The last time I wore this, it was quite a bit cooler outside so I wore over-the-knee boots and lightened up the look with peach accessories.

Now that it is warmer, I really wanted to lighten up the entire look and emphasize some of the lighter colors instead of the richer tones. Mint and pastels in general are a great way to lighten up an outfit and are one of my favorite color trends to wear in the summer. I also love the cheetah print with this because it is more interesting than just a plain black flat. Until next time, XO

Mint and Navy

Hello all! My first week of work is complete! It has been a very busy, but fun week and it has been nice to not have the pressure of looking for a job hanging over my head. The other nice thing is I get to dress up a little bit everyday and I am already having fun experimenting with my outfits.
Navy has always been a favorite of mine because it doesn’t have that harshness that comes with wearing a lot of black in the summer. Navy is also great because it is so easy to pair with bright colors. I know the whole mint obsession was a couple of years ago, but I still love the pop it can add to an outfit. This cardigan is perfect for that because it just has that little bright seam, which is subtle, but still makes an outfit interesting. I hope y’all are having a wonderful weekend so far and I would love to hear any good ideas you have for work outfits! XO
