Hello all! Despite having fewer jobs that I go to on a regular basis, I haven’t seemed to have anymore time lately. Hopefully going to get everything situated this week though and I have some exciting things to announce over the next couple of weeks.

But, on to this fabulous outfit for a second. I just picked up these high-waisted shorts and I was a little hesitant about them first. I mean they are really high-waisted! But, I absolutely love them. They are perfect for tucking things into, which is also my go-to. Plus they give my outfits a little extra something instead of just regular jean shorts.

Other than high-waisted outfits, I think two other big trends for me this summer are going to be bell sleeves and stripes. First of all, bell sleeves. They definitely seem aggressive at first, but they are just so cute and fun! Plus, they are an interesting detail that helps take your look to the next level.

Stripes of course, I kind of feel like are a given. There is nothing more classic than red stripes in the summer if you ask me. But I have found myself lately wearing even more stripes then usual. So here’s to a stripe-filled summer!

One of my friends commented the other day about how I haven’t been wearing as much pink. Not to worry, pink is definitely still my favorite color in life and when it comes to my wardrobe.

But, and I think this happens to most people and not just me, I can easily get into a rut or stuck in a certain habit when it comes to my clothes…like wearing the same colors and styles day after day.

So, I’ve been consciously trying over the last couple of weeks to mix it up a little bit. Explore some of the lesser worn pieces in my closet and see what I like and what I don’t. This is the perfect time of year to do that too because I’ve already been working on cleaning out my closet as I pack away my winter clothes and pull out my summer ones.

Speaking of cleaning though, as I have gone through my winter wardrobe, I found a ton of pieces that I never even wore this winter! All of them have only been worn once or twice, or not at all.
