Chocolate Cobbler

Chocolate Cobbler - Lefty Living Life

For those of you who know me personally, you know that I have a slight chocolate addiction. And by slight, I mean I have a serious chocolate problem. But, there could definitely be worse problems especially if you have a recipe like this one! Chocolate cobbler is yummy and super easy and cobbler probably isn’t the right name…more like a chocolate pudding brownie explosion!

Ingredients

1 1/4 cup sugar

1 cup flour

7 tablespoons cocoa powder

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup of milk

1/3 cups butter, melted

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 1/2 cups hot water

1 cup chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350.

Stir together 3/4 cup sugar, flour, 3 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk, butter, and vanilla…mix until smooth and completely combined. Add chocolate chips. I used a mix of dark chocolate and white chocolate chips. You can really add whatever kind of chocolate you want or even none at all. Pour the mixture into an un-greased 8-inch square baking pan.

In a small bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup sugar, brown sugar, and 4 tablespoons cocoa. Sprinkle evenly over the batter. Pour hot water over the top. Do not stir. I’m serious. It’s going to look super weird. But trust me it will be worth it.

Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the center is almost set. It will be liquid-y and soft but that’s how you want because that is what makes it so amazing.
