The Time’s Up Red Carpet

If you didn’t already know, the black dress is classic for a reason and last night’s Golden Globes Red Carpet proved it. Almost everyone wore black in support of the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund. For those of you who don’t know, Time’s Up, started by some of our favorite Hollywood stars, will help to pay for legal support to women and men who have experienced sexual assault, harassment, or abuse in the work place. This is an incredible fund and I was so excited to see so many people supporting it last night.

Now, on to the fashion. Let’s be honest, if I were to ever be on the red carpet, I would most likely wear black so a lot of the looks last night appealed to me. Here are some of my favorite looks from the red carpet. Which one do y’all like the most?

Alicia Vikander is one of my favorite style icons because she wears a lot of things that I would also wear. I love how this dress is conservative, but also super glamours and flattering.

Oh my gosh Claire Foy. Need I say more? Y’all know how much I love a suit on the runway and paired with this bright red lipstick, she couldn’t have looked more incredible.

Diane Krueger has always been one of my favorites because she is not afraid to take risks, but also knows what will look good on her.I love the sheer, bejeweled lace detail and the cape/ train. What a unique, but fabulous look.

Now this is how to do understated elegance. Frankie Shaw absolutely nailed it by letting her dress do the talking and keeping her make-up, hair, and accessories minimal.

Jessica Biel was another who went for the sheer lace detail. But I love the texture juxtaposition between the tulle and the velvet. Such an interesting detail that really took this dress to the next level for me.

While I don’t dislike Kendall Jenner, normally I don’t necessarily like her style choices. However, I really love this for some reason. This is the perfect kind of dress to show a lot of leg because there is so much material and it is easy to get lost under that. I also love the minimal jewelry but the dramatic T-strap heels.

There were quite a few people last night who went with the all black dress that had a little sparkly detail somewhere, but Saorise Ronan’s was my favorite. I love the dramatic one-armed dress with the dramatic cap sleeve. She looked fierce and absolutely stunning!

So who’s look did you like the most? Any thoughts on last night’s styles? Until next time…
