Hello all! So Let’s talk a little about the behind the scenes of blogging today.

For most people, styling and wearing an outfit is all about how it makes you feel and how you perceive yourself to look in said outfit. That is definitely true for me as well. However, because I also photograph myself on a daily basis, there is another layer to an outfit.

Take this outfit for example…I absolutely loved it when I put it on. I love the flowy sailor-esque pants with the off-the-shoulder top and then the long flowing earrings. It feels so classically nautical and perfect for summer.

I even felt awesome looking in the mirror and walking around. But for some reason, I hate all of the photos. There is this odd dichotomy in blogging between what you show on your blog and reality. I try and be as honest with y’all as possible, but sometimes, if I don’t like a photo or feel fat in an outfit, I won’t post it.

So, here’s a little honesty. Nobody, whether online or in real life, looks and feels amazing every second of every day. Even as a fashion blogger, I still struggle with how I look on a regular basis. But, these days, I feel like that comes with the territory of being a girl. But, I don’t want this blog to be about an unattainable level of beauty or style. I’m going to try and be as honest as possible with y’all and I hope you will be as honest with me and ask me anything you want!

So not a huge fan of these photos, but I love love love these pants! They are a linen blend material so super light and flowy. They are crazy billowy and have these great flair legs and a super high-waist…which we know I love!

To be honest, they make me want to find a boat party I can crash! Definitely going to be a contender for my July 4th outfit! Until next time…
