My friends and coworkers always give me a hard time for being super put together first thing in the morning. Part of this is that I am a morning person and I love a fully accessorized outfit. But the more important part is that I plan everything out in advance.

Planning my outfit for the next day has been part of my evening routine since high school. I pick out the clothes, shoes, accessories, and I even pack my purse or backpack for that day. Normally I have plenty of time in the morning, but picking out my outfit at night is a nice calming ritual that I love to do before bed.

I know for a lot of people, hanging your outfit for the next day works well. For me though, I like to have it all out and ready. Normally, I would do that on the floor outside of my bathroom, but the layout of my studio apartment has changed that.

The “room” outside of my bathroom is actually my closet where the majority of my clothes, shoes, and jewelry is. I love this set up because I can. easily see everything while I am getting ready if I change my mind. The other great thing is that I finally have room for a dresser!

Having a dresser is very new to me and it is so nice to be able to store everything in drawers. However, my favorite part is the long top where I can lay out my outfits every night, store some jewelry in trays, and all together make my outfit-planning easier and more visual. Definitely the dream and key to being super accessorized and put together first thing every morning.
