Transitioning Leather
If you are having these awkward warm days interspersed into winter like we are, then you will know that they can be close to impossible to dress for. Low 40s in the morning but 65 by lunch time makes layering key and for me, this means a leather jacket. The great thing about a leather jacket is that it’s light weight, but is still a warm, substantial layer. It was the perfect compliment to my t-shirt and scarf when I didn’t want a really heavy coat. It would also be great over a turtleneck! Yes, I went there, but turtlenecks are awesome.
Although leather jackets are perfect for that extra layer of warmth, I always struggle to accessorize them because I am tempted to wear all black. It is so easy and classic chic to wear all black, but with a leather jacket on top, all black is a little too edgy for me right now. The remedy for this, whether it be with your bag or jewelry or a scarf, is to add a pop of color to soften up the tough leather.
I would love to hear how y’all are dealing with this weird weather so make sure to comment below! Until next time, XO
P.S. Is this bag not the cutest?! My best friend Kate gave it to me for my birthday and I’m in love!
