Clean-cut and Classic
Hello all! Happy Monday! If you’ve been following along here at Lefty Living Life for awhile, you will have noticed that I learn towards classic feminine pieces for my every day look. Classic shapes and styles have always been my go-to no matter what the occasion.
However, now that I am wearing skirts and dresses every day for work, it has been fun to further expand my wardrobe!
For me, the most classic pieces are a trench coat, a white-button down, and a black dress and I love how they all came together with this outfit. This trench coat is one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe because it is the epitome of style and class especially since it is Ralph Lauren. What I love most about it though is that it was my first consignment purchase!
This dress is a great black-dress staple because it is versatile. The buttons make it so you don’t have to wear a big necklace and it is a thicker material so I’ve worn it by itself with flats in the summer or easily layered, like I did here.
Finally, the white-button down. If you don’t already have a white-button down, I would seriously consider investing in one. They add a tailored, finished look with a pair of jeans and flats and are perfect to layer under a sweater or dress when it is cooler. As someone who is always cold, but who doesn’t like shapeless sweaters, a button-down is a key layering piece for me.
As with any outfit, the key to making it awesome is how you accessorize. Cheetah print heels are always a great piece to add to a simpler dress. If your cheetah print has brown and black in it, add a brown bag to your outfit to tie in that brown from your shoes. Until next time, XO
