Quarantine Distractions: Reading List
My To Be Read list seems to always grow and never shrink. But I am using quarantine as the perfect excuse to make a dent in it. I am trying to read a variety of books in addition to my two bookclub books! Here’s what is currently on the docket.
This is my April bookclub book for my online bookclub, Spoiler Alert- check it out here! I am excited to read this classic as it has been so long since I read this one (I’m talking middle school).
The Betrayal of Mary, Queen of Scots by Kate Williams
I am reading this one in my other bookclub. It is a non-fiction book about Mary Queen of Scots and her relationship with Elizabeth I. I’m about a third of the way through and it is fabulous.
The Splendid and the Vile by Erik Larson
I got this book as my March Book of the Month. I am excited to read it because Churchill and WWII, but a little nervous because Erik Larson. I know a lot of people love Devil in the White City by Larson. Kate and I read this for bookclub a few years ago and I didn’t hate it, but I did find it a little dull at points. Fingers crossed about this one!
Catch and Kill by Ronan Farrow
I’ve been dying to read this book for months and just haven’t had the time. I can’t wait to read it and then listen to the podcast about it!
Jane Eyre is one of my favorite books of all time and I try and reread it regularly. Well, no time like the present right?
What is everyone else reading? XO, T
