Hello all! Somehow time is already getting away from me even though the New Year just started! Things have already been crazy busy as I finally submitted all of my grad school applications (!!!), made lots of new resolutions and goals for 2018, and have started to get my life organized. A lot of that has been new ideas and plans for Lefty Living Life, so definitely stay tuned and if there is anything you would like to see, please message me or comment!
Hello all! Happy Friday! I hope you are gearing up for the weekend and have some fun plans ahead. My weekend is going to be filled with working, baking, and art and I couldn’t be more excited. Not to worry, I will keep you updated on everything and there will definitely be blog post about a lot of my activities in the coming weeks.
Before my fun weekend plans begin though, let’s talk about florals. For me, florals are about the least inspired thing ever unless it is in winter. They just kind of seem a little too easy and like designers really didn’t have to put in any effort. However, ever rule has an exception and this skirt is the exception for me.
First of all, I love the color and the cut which is ultra feminine and was fun to roughen up with this off-the-shoulder top and thick heels. Pearls were also the perfect finishing touch along with my jean jacket. As fun as this skirt is now, I am even more excited to wear it with tights and a bulky sweater this winter…is it fall yet? Until next time, XO
Hello all! In this week’s newsletter, I shared some very exciting news that I want to tell y’all about too! Life has been a little crazy lately because in addition to graduating and starting a new job, I have also been working on a project that has been in the works for over a year. This project is finally coming to fruition and I am so excited to finally tell y’all about it.
Last year, I was having one of my regular closet reorganizes where I sort through everything and decide what to keep and what to donate. As I was going through, I realized that a lot of the pieces I was pulling out I had only worn one or two times and were still in great condition. I just wasn’t wearing them very much. So for these items, I decided I was going to sell them online to make a little money going into senior year.
I started doing a little research about where would be the best place to sell them. However, looking at my online consignment options, I was so disappointed with the options out there. No website seemed to have the features I was looking for. Either they only sold specific brands or the website was sloppy and didn’t make me want to buy anything. So instead of working with a website I wasn’t happy with, I thought why not start my own online consignment store!
Since then I have been doing tons of research and working to make the best possible website for online consignment that combines online shopping with styling, fashion blogs, and also creates an awesome online shopping experience. And now, the website is really starting to come together and I will be launching it officially before you know it!
There will be lots of more details to come as y’all will be the first people to hear about the website and developments! I would love any and all feedback y’all have about online shopping, consignment, and any ideas you have for the website. XO
P.S. awesome pieces like this dress will be some of the first things available on the consignment website!
